My Story

I spent almost fifteen years inside the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the world's largest health coaching school. I started answering emails in student services. I left as CEO and COO, having led the sale of the company.

In between, I rebuilt the operating systems that made scale possible at every stage. I cut costs by 47%. I redesigned a coaching model that was costing millions into something that served a larger volume of students at a fraction of the cost. I rebuilt org structures and redesigned how work got done, dramatically compressing timelines with leaner teams.

I did not do any of that by handing over a plan.

Growth doesn’t break businesses. Bad operating systems do.

  • Led IIN from Chief Academic Officer → COO → CEO. Rebuilt operating systems at every stage. Earned my MS in Instructional Systems Technology because I wanted to understand how systems should actually be designed.

    Background:

    • Psychology (BA, Ithaca College)

    • Culinary arts, health coaching

    • Instructional systems (MS, Indiana University)

    • Executive leadership, company transactions

I’m a lifelong learner and systems thinker who believes the best businesses blend rigor with humanity.

I have 2 amazing daughters and partner. We spend our times traveling the world, exploring upstate NY, and having adventures in NYC.

I know what it feels like when:

  • Systems that got you here won’t get you there

  • You’re working harder but growth has plateaued

  • You’re lonely at the top with no one who gets it

  • You know you need to rebuild but don’t know where to start

I also know what happens when you fix it. That’s why I work as a Fractional COO.

How I Work

Blurred gradient of orange, green, and dark brown colors.

I tell you what I see

Even when it is uncomfortable. Especially then.

Gradient background with shades of yellow, orange, and red blending smoothly.

I go inside the business.

The first two weeks, I live inside the business. Process, people, financials, customers..

A gradient background transitioning from light yellow at the top to dark blue at the bottom.

I build with your team, not for them.

If people do not build it with me, they will not run it without me. That is how the work actually sticks.

Abstract gradient background in shades of blue and purple.

I stay until it is working.

Getting it out the door and iterating in real time is the job. Not designing the perfect system before anything touches the ground.

A plain blue background with no distinct objects or features.

I make myself unnecessary.

The goal is a system your team owns after I leave. No dependency. Something that lasts.

The Strategic Operator’s Playbook

My work is built on one premise: a wellness business can only scale as fast as the founder's direction is understood and operational across the organization. Every engagement follows The Strategic Operator's Playbook. Five phases, embedded execution, clean exit.
